• Native Idahoan Nathan Olsen has been practicing law since 2001 and is admitted to the Idaho State Bar and Virginia State Bar. He first practiced law at a government relations firm in Washington D.C., representing a variety of clients for their legislative and regulatory interests. In 2006 he and his family returned to his hometown of Idaho Falls where he entered into general law practice, first with Beard St. Clair Gaffney PA and for the last ten years at Petersen Moss Hall & Olsen, the firm that his father Dennis Olsen served as partner for 25 years until he passed away in 1985. Before earning his law degree, Nathan worked in Washington D.C. for members of Congress from Idaho for six years. He has now partnered up with his long time friend and respected colleague Steven Taggart to form Olsen Taggart PLLC.

Nathan has become a seasoned litigator in complex civil disputes. He has substantial experience in the areas of civil and Constitutional rights, real estate and business disputes, property rights, medical and legal malpractice, estate disputes and guardianships. He has appeared on behalf of his clients in over a dozen state courts, the federal district court, Idaho Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit and the U.S, Supreme Court. He has a track record of success in trial court, having obtained multimillion dollar judgments for his clients, as well as success on appeal on a number of cases before the Idaho Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit of Appeals.

Nathan is also seasoned in transactional law, having formed and advised a number of small businesses and non-profit associations. He has drafted numerous contracts as well as wills and trusts, all with the intent of creating agreements that help his clients and their contracting parties to successfully function under clearly understood terms and avoid future disputes.

Nathan’s approach to the practice of law is to provide thorough and personalized service to his clients. He is easily accessible to his clients and zealously represents their interests while, at the same time, giving them a straight and clear assessment of both the strengths and weaknesses of their case.
